Futures contracts of wheat fell on the NCDEX due to lack of cues from spot markets, which are shut on account of Raksha Bandhan. Futures contracts of wheat traded a tad lower today due to lack of cues from the spot market. Ample supply in the spot markets has kept the contracts largely bearish in the past one week. Demand from the wholesale markets is seen rising due to high base price of wheat fixed by the government for open market sales.
