Futures contracts of wheat on the NCDEX ended 1% down as speculations that the Centre will announce a bonus on the minimum support price subsided. The contract ended nearly 1% higher on Tuesday due to talks that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may announce a bonus of 200 rupees per 100 kg over and above the support price of 1,735 rupees per 100 kg for wheat procurement in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar).
