Nearly half of imported wheat still at Indian ports.

Nearly half of the wheat imported in current financial year is still stocked at Indian ports. The country has imported nearly 2 mln tn wheat so far in the current financial year, half of which is still at ports, a Bengaluru-based trader said. The wheat lying at ports is likely to be offloaded in the next one-two months. Wheat imports have, however, come to a halt now as the government recently increased customs duty on the commodity to 20% from 10%
