Prices of maize in Nizamabad are seen rising after Diwali, when bulk buyers are expected to make purchases. Nizamabad markets will be closed for a week for Diwali and other festivals. Despite weak demand, prices of maize have been steady due to government buying. The demand is weak also because of high moisture content in maize arriving in the market.
