Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Coastal Andhra Pradesh received rainfall at isolated places as the North-East monsoon beckoned.The highest amounts were reported from Tamil Nadu.

The India Met Department (IMD) says that conditions are becoming favourable for the onset over Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh by Thursday. The rains are expected to extend to the rest of Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Rayalaseema during the next two days.
