Punjab Government agencies and private millers have procured total 15778366 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till date evening which included 216733 tonnes procured on 7th November. Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 15778366 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 15531284 tonnes of paddy (98.4%) till date whereas 247082 tonnes (1.6%) of paddy has been procured by millers. PUNGRAIN had procured 5213660 tonnes (33%), MARKFED procured 3477447 tonnes (22%). PUNSUP procured 3351146 tonnes (21.2%), PSWC procured 1575053 tonnes (10%) and PAFC was able to procure 1512343 tonnes (10%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 341635 tonnes (2.2%).
