Rains likely to delay wheat harvest in Punjab, Haryana.

Overnight rains and a forecast of more rainfall in the next couple of days in parts of the key wheat-producing states of Punjab and Haryana could delay the harvest of wheat by at least a week. Most parts of the two states experienced fairly widespread rains on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, according to IMD. We are expecting widespread rains during the next 48 hours as well. IMD has also forecast thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh over the next two days.
