Rajasthan farmers asked for sowing millet, guar, maize.

IMD’s Agrimet division has advised farmers in the eastern part of Rajasthan to continue sowing groundnut, millet, sorghum, maize, and pulses like moth bean and cowpea, after the recent spell of rains. It has also advised growers in west Rajasthan to continue sowing moong, moth bean, bajra, and guar. In the season so far, east Rajasthan has received 2% above-normal rains at 175.2 mm, while rainfall in the western part was 61% above normal at 134.4 mm.
