Chana production in Rajasthan is likely to see a significant jump in 2016-17 (Jul-Jun) due to favourable rains and remunerative returns to farmers last year. Output of chana in Rajasthan is estimated to rise 64.5% on year to 1.4 million tonne. Rajasthan pegs year to June mustard crop 3.7 million tonne vs 3.3 million tonne year ago. Output of the oilseed is expected to rise 14.5% on year to 3.7 million tonne.
