Romania wheat exports 9% slower due to high competition from Russia.

Over July-February Romanian wheat exports equaled 3.4MMT, which lags behind last season`s record pace by 15%. The gap increased in February (from 12% in January, 2018) due to lack of shipments to Egypt, Morocco and Ethiopia. February export volume was 57% lower than over the same month of 2017. Egypt remains first among buyers of Romanian wheat, importing 688.8 KMT. Though, import pace is now 9% slower than last year due to higher competition from Russia.
