Russian agri ministry forecasts the country’s grain exports at 40 MMT in the 2017/18 season. Traditionally, the lion’s share of this volume will be represented by wheat– the ministry expects it at 30 MMT. Russia is now actively cooperating with Bangladesh, Iran, Argentina, Brazil and China. And hopes for a rise in shipments to these destinations, as well as to Mongolia and North Africa. Ministry keeps it forecast for Russian grain production in 2017 unchanged at 110 MMT and added that serious grain harvest risks are currently faced in Siberia, as well as precipitation and frost in the Far East.
