Directorate General of Foreign Trade has allotted 30% quota of the total allocations for import of raw sugar to Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd. , EID Parry India Ltd has been allocated 59,577 tonne. Govt took into account monthly refining capacity of mills, quantity applied, and number of applications within a zone while considering the application for raw sugar import. Shree Renuka Sugars had applied for a quota of 570,000 tonne raw sugar through four applications.
