Food Corp of India has recommended a base price of 1,890 rupees per 100 kg for wheat under the open market sales scheme in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar). The proposed price is 100 rupees higher from a year ago. The suggested hike is in line with the increase in the minimum support price for the current marketing year
