Sugar down in north India due to poor demand from bulk buyers.

Subdued demand from bulk buyers dragged prices of sugar down in the key wholesale markets of north India. M-grade sugar is sold down 10 rupees in Delhi and Muzaffarnagar. Demand has fallen significantly as rains are likely in the coming days. People prefer to keep only limited stock with them as sugar attracts moisture during monsoon. Millers are also quoting lower prices as they want to book profits before the arrival of monsoon rains.
