Prices of sugar fell in the key wholesale markets of north India as traders and bulk buyers were cautious ahead of the implementation of the GST from July 1. In Delhi and Muzaffarnagar, sugar sold down 5 rupees. People are cautious of the GST implementation and are reluctant to stock sugar. Only day-to-day demand is there in markets. NCDEX futures contracts of sugar traded flat because of low volumes.
