Sugar prices up in north India, NCDEX, down in Maharashtra.

Prices of sugar continued to rise in the key wholesale markets of north India due to expectation of a hike in sugar import duty. M-grade sugar sold 20 rupees up in Delhi and Muzaffarnagar. Prices of sugar fell in markets of Maharashtra due to subdued demand as a likely good monsoon this year is seen boosting output. ICE raw sugar fell 13.46 cents per pound. July sugar contract on NCDEX up 0.7%.
