Sugar Up in north India as demand rises, down in Maharashtra.

Higher demand from bulk buyers continued to lift prices of sugar in the key wholesale markets of north India. Prices of medium-grade sugar rise by 10 rupees per 100 kg each in Muzaffarnagar and Delhi. Sugar prices in Maharashtra fell because of low demand. Prices of the sweetener were down 5 rupees per 100 kg each in key markets of Mumbai and Kolhapur. Prices of the sweetener in Maharashtra are likely to fall further in the coming days as the selling pressure on mills will increase once the imports come in.
