Taiwan buys 92,465 tonnes US wheat in tender.

Taiwan Flour Millers’ Association has purchased 92,465 tonnes of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States in an international tender which closed on March 13. The grain was bought in two consignments involving different wheat types. The first consignment for shipment between April 28 to May 12 involved 26,000 tonnes of US dark northern spring wheat of 14.5 percent protein content bought at $302.24 a tonne FOB US Pacific North West coast. Another 12,450 tonnes of hard red winter wheat of 12.5 percent protein content was bought at $264.82 a tonne FOB and 6,720 tonnes of soft white wheat with 9 percent protein was bought at $226.45 a tonne FOB.
