Taiwan’s MFIG buys 52000 MT South Africa corn.

Taiwan’s feed industry procurement association MFIG bought about 52 000 tonnes of yellow corn, likely to be sourced from South Africa. The corn was for shipment between February 21 to March 12 2018. The corn was all purchased at a premium of 132.40 US cents per bushel c & f free out over the Chicago May 2018 corn contract, traders said. There is an additional surcharge of 75 US cents per tonne for additional port unloading. In its last reported purchase on October 26, MFIG purchased about 65 000 tonnes of corn likely to be sourced from Argentina.
