IMD’s Agrimet has advised farmers in Tamil Nadu to control menace of bacterial leaf blight disease in the rice crop to get the optimal yield. The disease may lead to wilting, desiccation of leaves and death, particularly of young transplanted plants. These attacks are common when the weather turns humid after rains.
