The MY 2018-19 Thailand rice production forecast is revised up to 21.2 million metric tons, a 4% increase from MY2017-18 dueto larger than expected main crop fragrant rice acreage. Rice exports in 2018 are expected to reach 10.5 million metric tons. The government plans to sell the remaining government stocks in June 2018.
