The April contract of coriander on NCDEX hit a six-week high of 6,690 rupees per 100 kg as investors covered short positions after prices hit a one-month low of 5,745 rupees per 100 kg. The most-active contract was at 6,640 rupees per 100 kg, up 1.7% from previous close. A decline of 680 tn in open interest in the contract at 27,760 tn indicated short covering. However, prices in the benchmark market of Kota in Rajasthan remained unchanged as supply was sufficient to meet domestic demand. The eagle variety was sold at 6,400 rupees per 100 kg, while the badami variety was quoted at 5,400 rupees per 100 kg, unchanged from previous day.
