Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed the Civil Supplies officials to purchase paddy from farmers in the state. Rice Mill association leaders and farmers associated with it on Tuesday called on Chandrababu Naidu at his official residence here in Undavalli to apprise the prevailing situation. The Chief Minister was apprised of the present situation in Krishna district in which the officials of the civil supplies department are facing severe problems in purchasing paddy from farmers due to the restrictions imposed by the state government. The AP CM summoned the Krishna district Joint Collector Vijay Krishna and asked to purchase paddy from the farmers with immediate effect.
