Over the first six months of 2017/18 Romania increased corn exports to 2.3MMT (+25% y/y), which is almost in line with total exports of last. February exports were 27% lower than in February 2017. Spain continues to remain the largest importer of Romanian corn this season. Over September-February 2017/18 Spanish imports of corn reached 816 KMT (286.3 over the whole last season). Last season Egypt was number one on that list, but over the reporting period the country was not among the importers of Romanian corn due to strong competition with Russia.
