Ukrainian wheat market is under pressure of large volumes of new-crop grain.

Downward price trends prevailed in Ukrainian wheat market last week. A price decrease in the world market pressured Ukrainian export market. Moreover, wheat harvesting in the country is coming to a close, and large volumes of new-crop grain are adjusting prices downwards. August WASDE report, in which the estimates of wheat production and exports from the Black Sea region are raised considerably, will continue to pressure prices in the short term. Last week, export prices for wheat with 11.5% protein and feed wheat showed the most significant reduction, due to a growth in supply. The 11.5% wheat prices closed the week down on average USD 3-4/MT. The prices for milling wheat with 12.5% protein declined USD 1/MT for delivery in August-September.
