USDA arm sees Russia 2018-19 wheat crop down 13%.

Russia’s wheat output in 2018-19 is likely to fall 13% from the record crop of 85 mln tn a year ago. Wheat production in the country is seen lower due to decreased acreage and average yields after the 16% spike in 2017. Crop damage due to winter kill is also seen pulling the total output down. Russia’s wheat exports in 2018-19 are seen at 36 mln tn.
