USDA sees Russia as top wheat exporter in 2017-18.

Russia is likely to emerge as the top wheat exporter in the world in 2017-18, pushing the US to the second spot. Russia is likely to export an estimated 30.5 mln tn wheat in 2017-18, while the US is seen exporting 26.5 mln tn. Wheat exports from the US are expected to slow down, as production in the country is hit by severe drought in the northern plains.
