Weather conditions in Ukraine still not entirely favorable for crops.

It was hot and dry on July 21-25, but then air temperatures somewhat decreased and rainfalls of various intensities occurred all over the country. Minor precipitation was observed throughout the ten days, but it was unevenly distributed over the country. Torrential thundershowers started on July 27 almost all across Ukraine (except for Kherson region). These weather conditions were not entirely favorable for yield formation in late crops and harvesting early spiked cereals. The overwhelming majority of them are in good condition at the final stage of grain ripening. So, the North-East Agriculture Institute reports that all winter wheat in Sumy region is already fully ripe with grain humidity at 14%, even lower in some fields. Farmers in the region have harvested 20% of winter wheat. As of July 27, its current yield averaged 4.7-4.8 MT/ha. Where growing practices are strictly observed, this figure even reaches 7.5-8.5 MT/ha.
