Bulgaria continues exporting wheat at a record pace this season. The country shipped abroad some 1206.6 KMT of wheat in the 2017/18 season by August 25. And almost 87% of this volume is absorbed by the European Union. It is worth noting that Bulgarian exporters supplied roughly 570 KMT of wheat to foreign markets by August 22 last marketing year. 48% out of this volume went to EU countries. As a remainder, a record 4.17 MMT of wheat supplied to foreign markets from Bulgaria in the 2016/17 season. The EU absorbed 61% of this volume.
