Wheat prices down in Delhi on weak demand.

Prices of wheat fell in key wholesale market of Delhi due to weak demand from buyers in south India. Demand from south India is weak as there are ample supplies in the market from imports although the imports have come to a halt now, the grain stocked with big companies is sufficient to fulfil their demand. So far in the 2017-18 (Apr-Mar) marketing year, India has imported nearly 2 MMT wheat. Of the total imports, nearly 1 mln tn is still stocked with the private players.
