Prices of wheat in Delhi rose because of higher demand. Demand for the grain increased as private players started buying wheat in the markets, alongside government procurement. For 2018-19 (Apr-Mar), the government has set a wheat procurement target of 32.0 mln tn, against 30.8 mln tn purchased the previous year.
