Wheat prices rose in the key wholesale Kota market in Rajasthan due to a fall in arrivals. About 8,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg) of wheat arrived in the market today, down from nearly 10,000 bags. Arrivals have started to fall now as the harvesting is over and most of the farmers have sold their crops to the government; the output was at least 10-15% less this year.
