Wheat prices rise in spot markets, fall in NCDEX.

Wheat prices rise in the key wholesale markets of the country due to short supplies. Arrivals are falling due to lean season. While the sale by the government under the open market sale scheme usually makes up for the shortage, buyers are not banking on this due to its high base price. Contrary to spot markets, wheat prices fell on the NCDEX due to profit booking by traders after prices rise in the last two sessions. Most-active August wheat contract on the NCDEX down 0.1% from previous close.
