Wheat prices up in Indore on firm demand, low supplies.

Prices of wheat in Indore rise due to firm demand and fall in supplies of the grain. Low supplies also supported prices. Currently, arrivals are around 2,000-3,000 bags/day in Indore (1 bag=100 kg). The open market sale by the Madhya Pradesh government started on 22 July, but traders are not keen on it due to a high base price of 1,750 rupees per 100 kg.
