Russia oilseed stocks in early Feb. down just 9.4% on the year

Russian growers held 2573 KMT of oilseeds as of February 1, 2018, i.e. 11 KMT (0.4%) less than on the same date last year (2573 KMT). The oilseed inventories decreased by 250 KMT in January. The farming entities held 1490 KMT of sunseed that is down 133 KMT (8.2%) from February 1, 2017 (1620 KMT). Its stocks fell by 130 KMT in January.

Ukraine winter rapeseed conditions best over the past four years

Winter rapeseed had emerged on 98.6% of its planted area of 1009.8 Th ha. This includes 56.2% (559.8 Th ha) of plantings currently in good condition, 0.1% (1.0 Th ha) of winter rape had been lost. Soybeans firm, rebound from two-week low on fears for Chinese demand

Soybean futures edged higher, rebounding from a more than two-week low touched earlier in the session, though gains were capped by fears of a potential fall in demand for North American supplies by China as a trade war escalates. The most active soybean futures on the Chicago Board Of Trade were up 0.1 percent to $10.40-1/2 a bushel.
