FCI to auction 1,284 tn moong via NCDEX e-Mkts on Oct 04.

Food Corp of India will offer 1,284.26 tn of moong for auction through NCDEX e-Markets. The pulse is stocked at godowns in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. FCI is selling pulses through NCDEX e-markets to dispose off its huge stock built through procurement from farmers and high imports in 2016-17. (Apr-Mar).

Agrimet says soybean crop in Malwa ready for harvest.

IMD’s Agrimet division has advised farmers to harvest the soybean crop after physiological maturity in the Malwa plateau region in Madhya Pradesh. Eight districts, including Indore, fall under the Malwa region. Agrimet has also advised farmers not to burn the crop residue and prepare the field for sowing of gram crop. Soybean acreage in Madhya Pradesh, the largest producer in the country, this kharif season was at 5 mln ha, down 7.2% on year
